Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best known for portraying detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she was awarded an Emmy Award. Her appearances are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed of becoming a reporter for the court. Her modeling career began in highschool and eventually gained commercials when she moved to New York. Her first role acting was when she was a young, innocent girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney was in numerous of TV movies, film as well as dramas in the years since. Personally, her professional one has nt been successful and happy. The skilled actor had to battle alcoholism, as well as two divorces. In 2005, she lost custody of her sole son.
