Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. The singer has released a number of high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and are widely loved. Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's recognition. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering the piano in the attic of her home, then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music more as a hobby than a profession. As a result, she began writing her own music. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite songwriters. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mother said they could help people not to gain fame with her music, but rather to help those around them see their own importance and how they could impact the world. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and she started making music at the age of nine. They didn't even be aware until fourteen. Aurora's success was never her dream. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. According to her, the songs she creates are how she feels about everything.
